Membership at Sheldon Clubhouse
Sheldon Clubhouse exists to support members on their journey from mental illness to mental wellness. If this sounds like something you could benefit from, then you are probably a great candidate for membership!
An ideal first step would be coming to take a tour of our facilities in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tours last about 45 minutes and are intended to give potential members and others interested in Sheldon Clubhouse, a good overview of what we do and who we are. Who can become a member?
Per Clubhouse International Standard #2, the goal of Clubhouse International is to a support for anyone with a history of mental illness.
Currently, basic requirements to join Sheldon Clubhouse are as follows:

Becoming a member means that you will have access to Sheldon Clubhouse during our hours of operation. Employment Partnerships
Sheldon Clubhouse is a community that creates opportunities for people who live with mental illness. The Clubhouse promotes educational, social, vocational, and personal achievement as a foundation for psychiatric rehabilitation. Through Transitional Employment, members are supported in time-limited jobs. In addition to providing members with both training and support, the Clubhouse guarantees job coverage for the employer. These positions not only offer a bridge into the workforce, but allow members to add to their experience and build confidence.
